I would like to preface this essay by saying that this class has most definitely helped me with my major as well as forcing me to think critically about the information covered in this class. The first portion of this course consisted of reading the Lemire textbook and writing questions at the end of every reading.


This was an excellent idea in my opinion because the author explains not only what it takes to be an English Major but also the many options available to them. This is something that greatly benefited me. I never realized all of what English had to offer and this textbook showed the different career paths available, personal identity college essay. During my senior year the time to apply to college quickly approached, and if just that was not intimidating enough, I had to also write a college application essay.


How does one write the most important essay of their career without being terrified? To avoid being frightened, I had several peer reviewers, with many being my past English teachers. I would like to be able complete any writing assignment with confidence by learning how to write them efficiently. I think this class will be an excellent foundation for helping me write proficiently.


I really need to increase my writing skills to a college level so I can be able to communicate clearly with all my professors, classmates and eventually to my future customers and employers through my writing. I would like to learn how to properly write and construct essays to flow smoothly through personal identity college essay transitions from my thoughts.
